About the Compensation Survey

Western Growers' 2012 Professional Compensation and Benefits Survey tool is designed specifically for growers, packers and shippers who make wage and benefit decisions.

Our third annual compensation survey collects and measures information about dozens of professional positions in the specialty crop industry throughout California and Arizona, including executive level, sales, logistics, food safety, and plant/office/field positions. Benefits information and Human Resources policies and practices is also collected.

Participating member companies submit their data via our secure easy-to-use online form, or via excel or hard copy, depending on the participant's preference. Western Growers maintains the confidentiality of this highly sensitive material through an independent, certified compensation specialist. All participating companies and their respective data are kept strictly anonymous.

Western Growers’ survey tool provides participants with access to aggregated industry-specific compensation information in a secure web-based, easily searchable format. You can compare jobs, customize and download reports, filter and evaluate data for a specific region or by company size. In addition, you can compare your organization's compensation information with industry medians and averages.

This information provides an accurate market reference for those making recruiting and hiring decisions, and can be used to form a successful pay strategy to attract and retain people with the skills most essential to your organization’s profitability.

Participating companies receive access to the survey tool at no cost. The report will be available to non-participating Western Growers members for purchase in Spring 2012.
